Alamogordo, New Mexico: UFO Sighted Near Missile Development Ctr Stalls Car Engines; Witness To Be Tested For Radiation
If I am reading this right, this event took place on Nov 4, 1957. That would be just a little over two weeks after this photo of a UFO was taken at Holloman/White Sands.
Vintage Holloman UFO from 1957, not 1964
Last night I was looking through my May, 1961 issue of Flying Saucers magazine and I came across the above photo. I scanned it and then went to google to see if I could find a better version. I did find another version of it:
The original photo was taken Oct 16, 1957, but when I was looking for it using google photos I kept finding it misidentified as a 1964 photo taken by a Holloman employee. Obviously, 1964 is impossible being that I found it in a 1961 issue of Flying Saucers.

Stanton Friedman will be speaking in Alamogordo
When new, “cutting-edge technology is created, one finds well-educated people claiming, ‘It is impossible,’” Stanton Friedman wrote in “Flying Saucers and Science” (New Page Books/2008). Such, he points out, is the skepticism of UFO critics.
Friedman, a nuclear physicist who worked for General Electric, General Motors, Westinghouse and McDonnell Douglas, is today acknowledged as a leading world expert on UFOs. He will speak in Alamogordo on March 22, 23 and 24.

Description:We were outside with our dogs when we saw a series of large amber colored lights ,first 3 in a row come on and go out. They were over our mountains. Then they came on again several miles to the right. This time they were not in a row..two of the lights were together the other above and to the left. Over the course of an hour we further saw single lights come on and go out quickly in different parts of the sky. Since, we were outside we heard no engine sounds. My husband is a former Navy Jet pilot. He could not identify what they were. We did not see them move at all. There were no running lights visible which is in violation of the FAA if it were a conventional aircraft. Has anyone from Las Cruces mentioned these sightings ?

Description:I was coming home from Alamogordo, NM on White Sands Blvd heading toward Tularosa, NM. At the intersection of White Sands and US 82 toward Cloudcroft, I looked up to my left and up in the sky, not to high up and to low for a plane to fly I saw lights. They were gold and were horizontal with two lights then a space and then four lights. Below those lights were a couple other lights but I am not sure how many. The lights were there one second and gone the next. I told my sons whom were in the car with me what I had seen and I thought it was rather odd. As we drove from US 82 toward Cloudcroft, we turned left toward La Luz New Mexico. When we go into La Luz, we stopped at the stop sign, went straight passed the Post Office and was heading toward the brigde to go up into the Canyon. Right before we came to the church that is on the left I looked up again and told my oldest son to look out the window. Sure enough there were the lights again. This time we saw the two lights and then the four lights. There were no lights below these lights. They were pretty low this time, way to low for a plane to fly, right above the tree tops and there was no sound at all. They lights were there for about 5 second and then they were gone. I pulled into the church to see if I could see anything else but there was nothing there in the sky just the stars.

Description:My mother and I were traveling to Albuquerque on US Highway 54, Northbound, at approximately milepost 86, when we saw one bright orange sphere turn into 2, then 3, then four, in a horizontal line, then blinked off one by one, then blinked back on again, and then off again. The spheres were to the left of our vehicle and seemed pretty low and large up in the sky. The SUV in front on of us must have seen it too because it began swerving all over the road and kept changing turn signals. Then we saw one orange sphere at a much higher altitude flying at a high rate of speed, in southeast direction, followed by an airplane flying at a much slower speed. While sphere approached west horizon of mountains, blinked out of sight. The plane pursued it until then and flew in circles after it disappeared. My mother and I were very excited and amazed by the presence of the spheres. I was pretty sure they were ships and not made by our military.

The Real Ravens are not Triangles
The sighting story posted in the previous post, lead me to do a quick search for a stealth craft called “The Raven.” I found that there is an aircraft made by Grumman that is called The Raven. However, it is not a large triangle as you can see in the photo below:
Also, the UK has a Stealth Drone called The Raven, but it also is not a large triangle:
That said, there was nothing in the sightings report that makes me think this was one of the huge silent triangles seen by numerous people around the world. Likely, it was just a stealth fighter which are triangle shaped, but not to be confused with the huge silent triangles that can hover and which are still unidentified.

Description:
Was on state hwy 54 headed south. Saw a Black Triangle at about 700
ft altitude flying northwest towards Holloman AFB. I could not tell its
exact size but I believe its around the size of a fighter jet. I told
several friends about this, one of which knows several Airmen. The
airman said it was not a UFO but the replacement for the F-117. They
call it “the raven”. Now we know. Those arent ufo’s, they are America’s
latest stealth birds.

Adam Gorightly in The Land of Enchantment
Yep, you won’t want to miss the June guest editorial and you will find it here.
It has been over 10 years since I was at the space museum, but when I was there I notice a strange thing that has stuck in my mind ever since. In one of the display cases was a crystal pyramid. It was just sitting there and seemingly had nothing to do with what was being displayed, no tag describing why it was there, just sitting there as decoration or for some unknown reason.
